My Review
This story was really enjoyable. The chemistry and evolving relationship between Aimee and Brandon was engaging and had me dying to know what would happen next.
The only thing I wish had been better was Brandon’s introduction in the Prologue. The reader is repeatedly told he tormented Aimee, but you only see his friends tormenting her while he ignores her to the point of cruelty rather than actively verbally or physically attacking her. If I hadn’t gone through something similar and worse than her, I would think that her hatred of him was an overreaction.
Aimee and Brandon’s friends are also great characters and if they don’t already have their own stories in the series, they definitely should. I also really liked Dr. Martin Koel, Brandon’s father and Aimee’s father figure.
