Kinetic by S.K. Anthony

I loved this book for multiple reasons. 1) the cover by Mae I Design is SO pretty! 2) The awesome synopsis is just the beginning. 3) There’s so much kick-ass action that I felt like I was on an adrenaline high while reading this story. 4) Annie Fox is one fearless girl, and her story rocks. A must read for fans of action, conspiracies, and mild SciFi.

Annie Fox has unlimited power. Part of a secret Organization with other super-powered agents, she’s used to tough situations. But when someone from her past returns, her beliefs are are challenged to the point that she begins questioning everything she’s known.

The Organization is not only a spy group, but also a factory for genetically-altered people. Even among mind readers, teleporters, and more, Annie Fox is unique in her kinetic powers. As an unlimited source of energy, she is essentially a human battery, making her a target.

Nick Logan left Annie with a broken heart years ago and has since become the Organization’s #1 priority on their kill list. But is he really a cold-hearted murderer? Annie isn’t sure what to think, and when she is finally confronted with him again, she hesitates with eliminating him. What he tells her next sets the roller-coaster plot into motion.

This fast-paced adventure will keep you turning pages late into the night. Romance, superpowers, and conspiracies? Who could ask for anything more? I like to think of this story as a more mature version of Maximum Ride with an emphasis on the kick-ass heroine who doesn’t need a man to save her. If you’re looking for a cinematic comparison, just think of Kinetic as the love child between CW’s Nikita and Spider-Man. This is definitely a must read for fans of action, conspiracies, and mild SciFi.
