Past Lives Inc.

Past Lives Inc.

Your past never leaves you.

Isabel Huxley is an up-and-coming artist who just bought her own studio. When she unknowingly starts painting individuals from her past lives, she catches the attention of Past Lives Inc., an elite company that offers access to their past lives for a premium.

Once word gets out she’s painting past lives and she is approached by a mysterious art dealer who says he has clients who want past life portraits done. She takes up the offer to financially support her studio after the media starts blackballing her.

The deeper she goes into the black market art scene, she learns that Past Lives Inc. has some skeletons of its own and are maybe using its database for more sinister endeavors.

Sought after and persecuted for her special talent, Isabel is forced to make uneasy alliances to survive a world surrounding a special service she used to think was only a marketing ploy but is very much real.

Past Lives Inc. is a literary dystopian look at capitalism, whether personal knowledge offers a type of ownership over someone else, and if people should pay for their inherited sins.
